A Brilliant Idea...

I was eating lunch with Marcus and a friend, Micah, who lives down the hall in our dorm, and Micah came up with a brilliant way to deal with our mascot situation. All we have to do in order to not be racist is switch our mascot from "Chief Illiniwek" to "Chef Illiniwek". We stick a chef's hat on him over his headdress, and we will comply with NCAA regulations. Also, we just scratch the "I" off of all our mechandise, and we can just use the same shirts, hats, etc. So what did I do? I went up to the room and used Paint to show everyone what "Chef Illiniwek" might look like...



Lance, just so you know, I am watching your Cougs play surprisingly well against Oregon. Not that UH is bad...I just expected Oregon to win. #22 just burned Oregon's secondary to score that TD at the end of the first quarter. Hopefully y'all keep it up!

I can't wait until the three day weekend... There will be lots of watching of movies, eating of pizza, and hanging of out.

I actually called you during half-tine to see if you were watching. I was pretty excited too because at that point we were up 21-17.

Oh, I missed your call. Sometimes I can't feel my phone vibrate when it's in my pocket, but I hate taking it off vibrate because I'm afraid it'll go off in class if I forget to turn it off. Hopefully you had a good time despite the outcome, and just so you know, I watched until the very end.

That's weird that you don't get Labor Day off... That means that people that work for the university don't get the day off, and isn't that the point of Labor Day? Hmmm...y'all must get out earlier than us or something.
